Metrolink does indeed do a rapid service from Manchester to Eccles, the trams are quiet and are spacious, but the fares are too expensive and many users would rather dodge their way and risk getting fined if caught, or use their cars if they prefer to stay legal. Dodging or driving would be greatly reduced if Metrolink made the fares a lot cheaper.

I love trams! I do find them to be the quickest and most reliable way of transporting myself around Manchester (apart from my bike). Best to get a return or metromax at weekends. Bring on more tracks, that what I say!
